It suits the spring time very well. -1/10, This is quite possibly one of the worse fragrances that Ive ever smelled. I wanted to have this in my collection so badly that I was going to try to ignore the scent. + I used up this perfume in about three months - a record for me. Overall I think its just very big on smelling like leather and roses. I do like the sweetness about it though just wish it was softer and not such a masculine smell. It gives me a lit bit of a lipstick smell, i think might be the violet fault. Its such a natural smelling peach not synthetic not candy like either. I mostly get violet and powder on the dry down(10 minutes after spraying) I prefer the first 10 minutes of this fragrance as its very fruity. I read bad review after bad review after bad review of this fragrance but I bought it anyway thinking, "maybe on *my* skin with *my* chemistry it'll smell good". Eventually gave it to a friend who likes sweet fragrances. I would wear this one for casual days and going to church or doing errands or any time feeling reminiscent and relaxing. Red Jeans has a bit of sweet and sour; it's fresh, fruity and floral. I have had several bottles over the years now & have never grown tired of it. I smell roses, peaches and something smokey. It is a loud floral that needs a light hand, but I liked it and it worked with my chemistry very well. I bought it years ago and at that time it was ok. Now, I don't like it because it is a strong plastic-y smell. It's also similar to several other floral/fruit combos such as flowerbomb and D&G Floral Drops. I would say it's good for mid twenties and up. I see that many reviews claim that Red Jeans was a high-school signature and has a 90s vibewell, since the perfume is out of production, maybe it went sour. Certainly put me off Versace, even if this is one of their cheaper fragrances. I dont agree with the notes at all to me it smells like a powdery grapefruit scent. I always keep a stash of this. I have no idea why I bought this. It has a heavy, indiscernible and unpleasant smell. I so tried to love it, but everytime I wore it I got a massive headache. Very loud, synthetic, and chemical. In the 90s it always reminded me of gummibears when I smelled it on others. Sweet and soft, not special or the best they have but I think it's a daily wearable perfume. The original formula is a playful, joyous fruity floral that has nothing to offend in this warm weather friendly beauty. Fact. I never even got it on my skin because I disliked it so much. I'm glad other people like this one. (Psychologists and psychiatrists pull up a couch) Anyway, I've been wearing Red Jeans with impunity, enjoying its powerful ersatz fruity top down to the cheap sandalwood and musk in the base. It still smells the same but with a synthetic note I can't pin down- I still bought it just for nostalgia's sake. Instantly I was transported to 1994, and just felt a whole 90s vibe. It's strange. It doesn't smell dated like its male counterpart, but you can definitely know it is a 90s scent due to its heavy quality. Opens with a very sharp and crisp peach and apricot (that I can completely understand being overpowering and headache inducing on some) then mellows out some as the freesia, violet and lily of the valley kick in. I wish everything at this price point could have such a unique bottle. In the fall or winter, you'll probably find me agreeing with the negative comments on how it's sickly sweet, too strong and has a cloying quality about it, when worn in close quarters. Agree with sweetnspicey; definitely peach shnapps-like quality. Timeless and ageless. This was purchased for me as a gift by my in laws, when I had requested Baby Rose Jeans. I know that it is a 90' child, since this was one of my first perfumes I got as a teen. smells like baby powder. However in practical it is overwhelming for me. Keep it light though, spray a little.. It does take me back to the early/mid 90's, and for that reason it makes me smile. It gives me headaches and the creaminess of the dry down smells good BUT irritating. I smell mostly roses and peach in this one. This is my favourite perfume. I bought it at a discount price so no regrets. Someone wrote that its like fruity shampoo and I agree, but there are other layers in this, too. The black currant and violet overcome the peach, so I can love this. In theory it has a great mixture of notes. She and her cheerleader friends loved it. The formula never changed. It's very suitable for my skin's chemistry, I love it. I bought this on a whim and in all honesty, It just smells like generic baby wipes. Does deserve a place in my collection though and for the price I am not upset I purchased it. I bought it expecting it to be a good formulation because my partner uses the blue one and I really like it on him. There was almost a powdery waxy lipstick note that I love smelling. One of my favorites from the 90's but too many I love. I also bought this for my daughter as her first real perfume as a freshman in high school. Well, I guess I found ways to use it. My sister however loves it. I bought this not really knowing what to expect. I must say that lasting power is great, so people who love this should be pretty happy. Rose and violet mixed with sweet peaches and apricot on a sweet vanilla, musk and sandalwood base. Could be worn night or day, any season and possibly by any age. I do not perceive any of of the notes clearly, to me it's just a synthetically cloying smell mixed with rotten alcohol-soaked fruit. This is my everyday wear from now. When I saw the packaging and flacon, my first thoughts were that Versace should stick to doing whatever else it is they do. But any women of any age can appreciate the great container and beautiful color of the perfume--the bottle and container are kitchsy, fun, distinctive--real "Yippe ki yo ki yea, m--f--." Can't believe I never reviewed this? A friend was wearing it, & I stalked her til I found out what it was..lol. It's 90's vibe, I was born in the Orwellian year 84. I can't put my finger on it, but this one smells and feels dated on me. i've been using this perfume since i was a freshman in college (1997). The only thing with Versace perfumes I noticed is that they can go off if you keep them for very long. Somehow it manages to have balls to the walls crazy intense level sillage and longevity. This was given to me as a Christmas gift a few years ago. Something random made me reach into my frag fridge and spray Versace Red Jeans. Love perfumes with vanilla in them. I ended up giving bottles as birthday gifts to all her friends and now Im known as mommy #2! I dont know anyone who couldnt find a use for Versace Red Jeans. In Italy this has been re issued last year and can be found on line at a very good price.OK it's not a masterpiece but it smells so good and that's what counts. It's jammy sweet with some freshness and it lasts many hours on the skin. This is perfect for spring and summmer use.Very enjoyable. I've honestly smelled nothing quite like it. I quite like this now! Cloying and harsh, this takes me back to being an adolescent in the worst way possible: it smells like cheap and nasty bodyspray I used to buy for 2 when I was 13. ;) Freesia, LOTV, water lily, and a lot of musk. I gotta say tho Versace has style in design of this perfume bottle& the cute vintage metal tin this bottle comes in so freaking cute!!!! sokak szerint csak fiatal lnyok illata ez,szerintem ez tves, meg klnben sincs olyan hogy csak x kor hordhat egy parfmt.Parfmrk szerint olyan sincs hogy frfi vagy ni parfm:) Egy sz mint szz,n szeretem ezt az illatat,de nem a legkedvencebb, mert nem tl intenzv, hanem olyan kis szolidka:)). I tried to like this one. Red Jeans Perfume is an american classic. Maybe it's partly because of sentimental reasons. I visited my French college roommate during Christmas in the 90's, and her sweet mother gifted me with Red Jeans. I love it. Smells so strong at first, but mellows out and stays on my skin the longest of any perfume I've had. I loved being able to smell it in between classes. The following day, i bought it and the next morning, paired it with my red dress and bag. I do remember it smelt wonderfully back then, fruity (red fruits), fresh and lovely. Got this as a blind buy ($19 at Ross) thanks to YouTube reviewer (Rhonda!) Every now and then I wear something really outrageous for my gender, age, image, profession, etc. Or maybe there really are people out there who smell good in this. Still, I can see where a younger woman, who has grown up with lighter, even unisex scents, would find this a stinker. We all agreed it smelled nice like something Id wear. It's like a good scent that is often ruined by it's own strength but definitely has times and places where it's great to be worn. The current formulation is terrible. Truly I am just. disturbed by its designer label. Lasts about four hours before becoming a skin scent. I used it quite a lot a few years ago, trying to convince myself that I liked it because the packaging and bottle are absolutely gorgeous. I wear it only occasionally but I keep it in my fragrance wardrobe when I want to remember Paris in 1994. It's just as bad as they said it was. I have tried to use it, but now I only keep it because of the memories. Think there might be too much sandalwood in this. It's very light on the skin at the moment so you have to leave it on before judging it I suppose. Its my worst nightmare. That same random insistence told me to spray Delina Exclusif on top. I am happy wearing this perfume. I was after inexpensive daily summer scent. Lasts very long. I get a decidedly harsh aqua net note the entire timeaqua net and peach kool aid mixed with flowers. Red Jeans was launched in 1994. I can only use small amounts of this, which is a shame because the longevity isn't great. A lady in the office wears this and OMG she lights up the whole damn floor and she leaves gorgeous scent trails! Online right now: 2,911, Fragrantica in your language: IT always takes me awhile to get to know a perfume and we are off to a good start. I havent worn it out in public since I wouldnt want to offend others, so I cant attest to others complimenting it. I always wanted to use it. Right out of the bottle its just floral, no white florals though. I want to start off by saying this is a lovely perfume and I recently re-purchased it. Red Jeans is simple and feminine. I've also bought a couple more bottles since his death (now reading "VERSACE - RED JEANS") and it smells the same, so I don't think it has been reformulated. I have always been a fan of both men and women Versace perfume, and I immediately got complimented. It is a floral fruit sweet which I like, almost balsamic. It's a bit more floral now, kind of fruity and it has a scent of berries. It is a casual scent that can be worn anytime of day or year. For some really odd reason - the violet stands out the most to me. At that price, I would probably buy it again at some point. Red Jeans by Versace is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Admittedly it's not the most sophisticated but it has personality and always gets a compliment! Red Jeans was on my want list and boy did I want it. But I just can't seem to like it. The sweetness from the peach is still very much present in the dry down. It's an under-$20 fragrance so for the price it's nice enough but I wouldn't re-buy it when I finish my current bottle. In my opinion this is not a youthful fragrance as so many have indicated. I think it's just right! It goes on beautifully and I get all that beautiful currant, but then "bam" there comes a wonky scent that I just can't lay a finger on. This fragrance is timeless, ageless, inoffensive. It is sweet but buffered by a powdery, woody breeze. Gotta be honest didn't really like it in the beginning so I used it at home for 3days to check it and then my love for it began. Even if the other design elements read a bit tacky, the way they are implemented lends visual interest. Red Jeans was the soundtrack of my teen years. I only have that one bottle - but if I see another Ill definitely grab it. Also it keeps my mood better. Good choice if youre looking for a relaxing, not overly sweet and inoffensive fragrance for warm days. A single spritz and im running for the hills! Too synthetic and made my nose tickle. It may just be that I have a bad taste, but for me this smells really joyful, this is one of my favorite summer scents, I use a bottle of every summer. This smells exactly how you think it will smell, a bit weird and synthetic and 'red', definitely one to be missed. Im thinking Spring will bring out the lovely floral fruits in this and make me feel like Im running free through a field or orchard, or maybe not. But do not think because the volume was turned down that the impact of what was whispered was diminishedit still packs a wallop. I love it,specialy in the spring! I have loved this perfume for 13 years. My god i hate this scent. At first I didn't know what to think. I like peach in perfumes but Red Jeans is too synthetic. Its a no fuss, pretty, simple scent that I can wear with a dress, or jeans. First whiff is kids sweet medicine smell then dries down to green tea-ish scent. I think perhaps these opinions may have been formed by the cute, red bottle. I can see this my new fragrance being used very frequently. This one smells like the 90's to me.. !!! Definitely wont purchase this again. The composition is very jammy, sweet, girly, powdery and joyful in a classic and vintage way. This perfume smells like on of those disinfectant wipes we use in hospital to clean medical equipments. I usually spray it at home or after the gym, which happens on daily basis. Yes, this is making a comeback due to its resemblance to Guerlain rosa pop. I wouldn't suggest it for teens. Not a massive deal considering it's also a great value fragrance, but I'd love to feel like I don't have to reapply several times a day! I'd rate it an 8 out of 10 on the right occasions and probably a 4 or 5 any other time. Horrible! Just got this yesterday, this is youthful yet suitable for any age. It was flowery and fresh but I think I like Blue Jeans more. It was a random combo,,but blew everyone away. Softens and gets a bit better on skin with time but still, it's a clear no for me! Not a big fan, but still like it. Versace Red Jeans is a fragrance that i'll always come back to. This holds a special place in my heart. This is another go-to for me if I can't decide on what to wear. It reminded me of the cheap perfumes we wore as kids. I could not figure out what I was actually smelling. Now I'm loving it! This is the winner of the fruity contest. Try it, you just might like it! I wanted to do a favour to my friend and bought this (still sealed) bottle from her. All I can say is "yuck"! Wonder how it smelled in the 90's, because the note composition seems good. Nice scent. The dry down became a softer vanilla tinged floral and the lasting power was excellent. I find this quite heavy. Im now 27. In its day this was the perfect summer holiday/weekend getaway fragrance that was meant for fun! I have been wearing it through out this summer. I like it. i find myself catching a whiff of it every once in a while and it makes me smile. At first i hated it, but it has grown on me. This peach is somewhere in between the usual big overripe peaches that you find in many 90s perfumes and the clean peach shampoo note that is often used today. I dont think I would use this fragrance for anything other than just a casual throw on fragrance to smell CLEAN. Not noted here but I smell iris, not one of my favorite notes but in this formula it's very mild. Will always be in my fragrance collection. I think I would like this more if the Freesia was a heart note. I am delighted I did. I got this perfume as my last birthday gift, its really disappointing how bad this perfume smells.. I am surprised how much I like it since I usually prefer less "sticky" sweetness. I used to like it,and that is when i was very young,in the 90's.Haven't tried it recently and i think after seeing it here i will.Hope i will like it now also.
