The shoe runs a half size small, however, there is plenty of room in the toe box and some runners may need to go up in size depending on fit. Just a thought, maybe you could get some custom insoles to assist in making the GTS 15 even more to your liking? However, for others, this difference may create a snug fit so going up in size should be considered. 78% say it's true to size. From your review Im inclined to maybe give the GT-1000 a shot over the 2000. I cannot see any reviews here on the Vapor. Thanks for the question. Stay away from this shoe or go with the earlier models which are A+. Glad you like the Adrenaline GTS 15s, hope you can put some good miles on them! Good luck. If you want light-weight, you could try the new Nike LunarGlide 7 which has decent stability and cushioning as well. I have been buying Adrenaline for many years and normally love them and dont have any issues. If you can find them in your local store, try them both on and see how they feel as you lace up. Now I want to go back to Brooks and am reading up on Ravenna and Adrenaline. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 is designed for those who need moderate to severe support with overpronation. Fortunately, I was able to find a pair of 13 and a pair of 14 so Ive been wearing those instead. Let me know if you have a question on the information I provided. Ive had several adrenaline because I liked the stability and cushioning. I use the Nikes on short runs (<4 miles) and to build overall musculoskeletal strength(due to their lack of cushioning). I live and work in Africa so its not like I can just go and return the shoe because it doesnt work. A breathable material called the Element Mesh makes the upper unit feel very comfortable. He is passionate about running, whether it be on the roads or trails. The GTS 15 has cushioning, but it could use a tad more for some (depends on preference on how much you want). Should have kept my old Merrills and trusted my own instincts instead of experts like my PT And the store guy. If you need some stability (mild) then I would go with the Ravenna 6 and if you need more support then then go with the Adrenaline GTS 15. The updated Adrenaline GTS 15 continues its tradition of being Brooks Go-To-Shoe (aka GTS) providing excellent stability complimented by updated cushioning from heel-to-toe for those runners who are seeking a shoe that delivers a smooth transition and solid running experience. I had switch to Asics GT 2000 and Saucony iso triumph , all I can said they it remind me the GTS 12 and 13 . BioMoGo is another mid-sole tech thats responsive and springy. The NB 870 v3 might be an option for you but I think the Brooks GTS 15 is a better shoe but again with your flat feet that will be a huge deciding factor. The shoes are smaller than the size says. 400 road miles in this one and we are just about ready for a new pair. Brooks is making updates to most of their shoes almost every year, seems like all shoe companies are, so will be interesting to see if Brooks changes the sole more in the next version and if any more upper changes come along. The tightness in the area was noticeable as soon as I wore the shoe and got worse during the run. I have an XW flat foot that pronates just a little and Im a 62 200 lb. Im just now getting over it and getting back into running again. Breathable mesh on the upper unit for well-ventilated coverage. Thanks for the question regarding the Brooks Ravenna 6 and Adrenaline GTS 15. Thank you for your comments and questions. This did not influence the outcome of the review, written after running more than 50 miles in them. Thanks again. The support is considerably less than in previous models, particularly once the shoes get past the break in period. Your help and assistance is very appreciated Thanks. The toe box was about a 1/2 smaller so definitely something people had to consider and for some it didnt feel well. If you dont mind one more quick question Ive tried most of the shoes in this category that come in an XW (except for the NB 860) and the Adrenaline is it. I think some people still like that higher drop but you are starting to see a large group of shoes in the 4-6 range and then 8-10.. The 16 took care of some of the length sizing issues but did not address the width. It will be a solid choice in your marathon training. Cheers, Travis. The GTS 16s (review coming soon on the site). Also, the price since both are so similar is something for you to consider as they are so comparable, but the NB are higher priced. A quick reminder it runs a 1/2 small, but go try on a pair in a local running store and walk around, I think you will immediately feel the good arch support and the stability the shoe offers. http://www.runningshoesguru.com/2014/03/asics-gt-1000-2-review/, http://www.runningshoesguru.com/2014/03/asics-gt-2000-2-review/. So given this, I would try the 1/2 up and see if company or store cant return the shoe. The heels on both shoes are made of the same material and cushioning so you will be safe there and they will offer you control if you do heel strike a bit. I know it is frustrating when something like that happens. I need cushioning. The Ravenna 6 is more of a guidance shoe which assists with control throughout foot strike while the Adrenaline GTS 15 gives a little more stability. Sorry to hear that the 15s didnt work out for you. Sorry to hear the Adidas shoes didnt work. See size guide. It all depends on how your 9.5s fit, but I believe the GTS 13s fit normal. I returned my wifes shoes to the Athletics Foot store in Greensborough yesterday. Once you get that done, write back if need advice on shoes they specifically recommend. I am glad the toe box and size of shoe worked out for you and that your running is going well.! Thanks again. The Adrenaline GTS 15 comes in with the same 12 mm offset as the previous model, is comparable to others in its stability category and this heel-to-toe drop did not affect the performance. It is like Nike saying that they no longer put Nike Air in airbags, but it is simply mixed with the midsole foam. http://www.runningshoesguru.com/2014/08/brooks-ghost-7-review/. Is it possible that its due to the shoe?? I hope you are able to exchange for a new pair or a pair that you know works for you. Thanks for the question. THANKS. Im usually a size 13 XW in non-running shoes and a 14 XW in running shoes. Sometimes, you never know why a company makes some of the changes they do. Both good overall shoes for training and running. I run with a 9,5 and they fit perfect, should i buy a 10 or should keep the 9.5 size? Thanks for leaving your feedback and experience. So if you like the feel of the arches in your Ghost you should feel the same with the GTS 15. Not a problem till about 18 miles, then life gets harder and the feet feel heavy. The GTS 15 is a stability shoe and the heel is very secure with the new heel collar and the cushioning underfoot is ample. Thanks again for your feedback on your experience with the shoe. Let me know if you need help with other shoes if you dont find 14s. This new midsole material works well with the Adrenaline GTS 15 which is the latest shoe to benefit from this new technology that has debuted in many Brooks shoes in the last year. I have been wearing Brooks Adrenalines since 2008 (when I strtaed running). With the 12, first time I ran in them, it felt like the foam was more compressed and worn out (even though they were brand new). It is only the Pure Cadence that has allowed me to train like I do currently (Circa 30 miles per week) given that I am doing an Ironman towards the middle of this year. Hi Travis Thank you for your sound and professional advice ! They caused instant leg pain. It is is designed for a mid to high arch but again that goes to personal feel so you would need to try the shoe on. If you have questions, please let me know. I hope you found a previous version to run in. GTS 15 designed for more maximum support/stability for those that overpronate good cushioning (little less than Ravenna 6 in my opinon even though sole materials and design similear). Until the GTS 14s came out. Thanks for the question. The fixes or treatments can vary depending on what is actually causing it. I agree the 15 has a great deal of stability and the only real drawback is it is a 1/2 smaller. No comment on the colors! Thanks for the feedback and your perceptive on which shoe works for your running. I am looking to purchase the Brooks Ravenna 6, albeit am still wondering if the GTS 15 Adrenalin might be a better shoe for me. But from the feedback and what I noticed that did change or had been updated was mainly the sole and midsole. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 is designed for those who have moderate to severe overpronation it offers maximum support if needed. Its more softer put that isnt necessarily better. average marathoner who lands midfoot to slightly forefoot. I am using 680V2 new balance for year and a half..it was very comfortable..I bought this GTS-15 just today without reviewing it.as it is comparably it has a very stiff hard cushion .i might have to get back on this posts after more runs.Goodluck to myself. I feel the latter could be a massive gamble, as most stability shoes have been anything but. I have worn both the Kayanos (many models of the years and testing the 22s now) and Adrenallines 15s. Just remember that they are a 1/2 to small so make sure to try on your normal size and maybe a 1/2 up. I have been wearing the brooks aerial andi need cushion cus I have callus on my bottom of my feet and hammer toes. http://www.runnersworld.com/tag/shin-splints, Please let me know after you speak with them and before your 30 days are up how the shins are doing and if you see a different with lighter miles. There are many factors that can lead to someone getting shin splints and in your case I know know specifics. Brooks also introduced a new Progressive Diagonal Rollbar throughout the shoe that delivered more control and stability. Thanks for the comments. The only problem is that my joy lasted just for 4 1/2 month. I must say that this might be my perfect shoe (wide heavy flat midfoot striking feet). The GTS 15 to me is a little more stable feel than the Kayano 19s or 20s and more than the Inspire 10s (I reviewed). The same as very cheap running shoes. And you may find the 870s are the ones you prefer to rotate over the 860s. They hurt my knees so Ive since moved on. I have almost flat feet and bunions but not painful or requiring surgery. is adrenaline gts 14 good for me ? The NB870 is a good shoe, just does not provide as much stability as the others but is very similar to the 860 in feel etc, just some difference in performance, stability, etc. Bought back it to the ( Key power ) in mid May 2016 and have their expertise to assess the shoe . The toe box is odd the solid fabric at the front is really low and my toes want to grab onto it when I walk. But see your local running store so they can just look at your gait. Thanks. Thanks for your feedback on your experience with the GTS 15s. So that support would should help and assist you. If you try them on and dont like, shoot me a note and I will try to suggest others. Thank you for your comments. And the Sole unit added the flexible crash pad. If you like Brooks and want some cushioning and not too much stability, you may like the Brooks Ghost 7 which has good cushioning. Currently I am also using the saucony iso fit triumph and Asics GT 2000 , they never showed any serious signs of wear in them after 40 miles . Hello. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 is a shoe that will be added to my daily rotation due to the its combination of stability and cushioning while still giving me the control I need on various types of terrain. It took around 15-20 miles to break these shoes in and Im loving them. So not a huge deal, just have to keep that in mind when purchasing if a runner is in between sizes. I am happy to say that I broke in the toe box and there is no tightness anymore. But in my opinion, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 would be a great shoe for you as long as your arch feels comfortable. Anyway I wish you good luck and have a fantastic 2016 and happy running. I bought a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoes for my wife in November 20th. They are connected to the lacing system, so whenever the shoelaces are tightened or loosened, they follow suit, therefore causing the upper to adapt, as well. We left on a trip to Europe on Sunday. I loved this shoe through the 14 this was the best shoe out there! Thanks for the comments and feedback. I have put lots of miles on them (the NB 1260v4 are retired as I put lots and lots of miles on them and they held up well) and they Brooks are still in my shoe rotation. I have dabbled in a few other brands but the Sequence and Adrenalines are about the best Ive come across so far. I originally bought so 10, as that was the sz I wore in the GTS14s. Apart from that they stay together with hardly any signs of wear. Sounds like rotating the Adrenaline and one of the Asics would be a great thing to start with. Would the Adrenaline have too much heel or is that a good thing for my heavier weight even though my heel barely touches the ground. I am a size 10 and I can wear any ASICS show in size 10 as they fit just perfect. The 16 lasted me for 4 years clocked in about 2000km I do not boast nonsense about it ! The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 upper has a very simple, yet effective design. If you need a little less stability but want some, then the Brooks Ravenna 6 would be another good option for you. I liked to shared my horrible experience with Brooks product and the local Brooks dealer ( key power ) in Singapore . So depending on the type of shoe you are looking for, to answer your arch question, the Adrenaline GTS 15 will assist with your flat feet as it has a good arch support. Thank you for providing feedback on both the GTS 15 and the Ghost 7. So if you need maximum stability, which you may due to your right foot, you may try the Brooks Adrenaline ASR (they also have ASR GTX more waterproof if looking for that as well). Thanks for your feedback. And since the Ghost had previously been recommended, they may say the GTS 15 is to stable. I have run in the Adrenaline through the 13, have always liked them.Im looking forward to trying the 15. Last sunday I completed marathon #4 in the Adrenaline 12s, and for the first time ever the top of my left foot felt like someone hit it with a hammer (fortunately ice and aleve helped me remedy it). The Adrenaline GTS 15 continues to be a solid, overall shoe providing a secure, comfortable fit while delivering the stability, cushioning and control most runners seek. Sorry Jose, I meant Jose and not Joes! Thanks for the question. Yeah nice enough to ruin a 10,000$ plus trip for my husband and I. However Ive never been completely happy with them. I recently bought the Brooks Adrenaline 15 and my first thoughts are that the shoe provides excellent support for an overpronator like me. Travis, Im a flat footed runner (going for 2nd full marathon in Oct) currently using a Ghost; very happy with them. But, they have ruined the best thing out there. I am sorry to hear you have had issues with the Adrenalines after wearing many versions. I am sorry to hear that your wife had issues with the GTS 15. Cheers. Thanks for taking the time to provide your experience in the Adrenaline GTS 15s. So much so you will see the GTS 14s on special deal everywhere. Stability wise, the Adrenalines are untouchable. Until today heard nothing from them , from there I told myself never again will I ever touch any brooks sport product and or step into this store who sold me a bloody piece of junk @$169SGD . Wife (seasoned triathlete) loves her brooks, so i thought Id give them a try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you look at the Brooks website and check out the soles of the ASR, you will see they give you a bit more traction on varied terrain. Many thanks, Kirsten. I hate to get rid of the Adrenaline but it just does not work for me anymore. I tried on the mens nine and it was ok. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 remains a must have for runners who are looking for a solid stability shoe that continues on its long tradition of being a secure daily trainer capable of handling the demands of fast runs or long, high mileage outings. Different take than Jonathan (above) on the 14. The midsole in the GTS 15 was changes to the Brooks BioMoGo DNA midsole foam. I am glad you were able to return your wifes shoes and hopefully they give your a replacement pair. The ASICS GT-2000 and Saucony Triumph ISO are good, reliable shoes so good choice and glad you are enjoying them! And the changes to the new BioMoGo DNA is similar to what Brooks is putting into many of their other shoes like the Ravanna 6 and so forth. It has been updated with the 7 with both Flyknit and Flywire technology now. http://www.brooksrunning.com/en_us/defective.html. I tried the New Balance 870 which was perfect in many ways, but I like more cushion. Somehow this material doest quite do it for me in terms of responsiveness. I think you meant the NB 1260v4 that I tested, correct? Thanks for the question and good luck with your high school team. Similar in to Adrenaline that it does off some stability and you can personalize fit with saddle to your foot. For the past year and a half I've put around 800 miles on both these pairs of shoes. Sounds like I should pick up a pair of 15s.
